Modern Jazz Dance Classes Peterborough Modern Jazz dance is the primary genre of dance used in musical theatre and is essential for anyone wishing to work in theatrical dance. It has a technical base derived from ballet but has developed fully into it's own genre with several different styles according to the purpose and the music being used.
Our classes cover many forms of jazz, including musical theatre, lyrical and Fosse. Our teacher Imogen Breen is a professionally trained dancer, teacher and choreographer. Children can start jazz classes from 8 years old upwards and classes take place on Tuesday evenings:
5.45pm - 6.30pm - Junior Jazz (8-12 year olds) 6.30pm - 7.30pm - Senior Jazz (12 years+) If you love dance and want to expand your skill base with a technical style that is a huge amount of fun, jazz is for you!
